I’ve spent most of today upstairs writing lyrics while the guys have been working on the 9th new song. Pictured above is a shot of Kennedy and his dick working on the drum part for the second verse. I hoping we can polish this one off and maybe get another one going this week. On Friday, Matt’s bringing his computer over and we’re going to start doing demos. The plan is to write from 10-2 and then, when I go to work, the guys are going to stay and record demos until like 5. Then, I’ll come home from work and demo vocals.

My voice is in a state of disrepair and I’m tempted to blame it on practicing every day and playing those shows Tuesday and Sunday, but I think realistically it’s just allergies. I need to get a hold of some claritin.

Right now, my friends Jared and Kelli are up from Florida. They print all of our merch (www.lymprintshop.com) and run a clothing line that we support (www.myspace.com/heartofgoldclothing). I think later, I’ll have them leave their thoughts on the new songs and make this kind of a theme. Like, guest opinions on the blog of what we’re writing. Maybe I’ll start limiting it to one song per guest so you really get a feel for how each song is. Possible guests during this and next week: Brendan from Valencia and Drew from I Call Fives.
